I'm trying to decide whether VV Engine is right for me.
Is it intended to replace VVLauncher & VVScheduler? The reason I ask is that VVEngine does not (seem to) permit the "Wake the computer to run this task" feature that VVScheduler/Windows task manager supports. This is essential for me.
Also, in my trial run, I created several profiles and enabled them. After I rebooted, they were all disabled again. Doesn't VV Engine "remember" that they had been enabled between reboots?
And finally, I kind of miss the animated tray icon of VVLauncher. It gave me an indicator that the profile was (still) running. With VVEngine, it runs in the background and I never know when it has completed without going through the hassle of opening VVEngine in my browser. I fear doing a shutdown of my PC for fear that VVEngine is in mid-execution.
The only thing I'm taking advantage in VVEngine so far in my trial run is it's ability to monitor several profiles for changes on source/target drives, wheareas VVLauncher only works on one profile at a time. |

Hello
VVEngine offers a different set of features compared to VVScheduler. Either can be used, depending on your goals.

VVEngine does not wake up the computer to run a task.

Yes, VVEngine does remember the profile status... I wonder what the issuee is in this case. Does it happen every time ?

This is an improvement that is needed for VVEngine!

It's OK, it is now remembering the status. Don't know what happened the other two times. |
