I would like to syncronize a folder between 2 computers that are in different locations. I would like to use an external hard drive to accomplish this.
Is this done easily?
Also, can ViceVersa find only the changes that have occured in a large file and update just those sections of a file, or must it re-copy the entire large file? |

Hello
yes, VV can do that easily.

If a large file has changed it's re-copied entirely, which is the best option for disk based sync (it would take longer to compare the two large files to find out what has changed).
Only on network between two computers (not between disks) byte-level sync is an advantage for very large files that do not change much.

Thanks,
How long does the program take to sync compared to windows copy/paste? Is it the same speed? |

Similar, but ViceVersa firstly compares the two (or more) folders, then next it only copies files that have changed. That makes the overall copy operation a lot faster.
