Anyone using Hamachi as a VPN to connect and sync files in 2 different locations? Interested to hear your experiences. |

This question was posed six and a half years ago.
I have recently started to test this setup using Vice Versa over a Hamachi VPN.
It does work, but I think Hamachi is a little unreliable.
I have only just started testing, but the Hamachi connection seems to drop out and will cause Vice Versa to report an error and the file sync fails and cannot be resumed.
It would be good is Vice Versa could tolerate this kind of error resulting from an unreliable VPN connection, and keep trying the connection to allow for drop outs and reconnection of the VPN before failing.
Scheduled tasks don't work with my current setup either. Manually starting the execution process works fine, but a scheduled task using the same VV profile reports that the remote target location cannot be accessed.
I have mounted a Windows shared folder as a network drive using the VPN IP address. That address has not changed.
Any ideas on what might be causing this? |

Hello,
re VPN instability, we have a new version coming that will not stop if a network error happens during folder scanning. Please e-mail to support if interested in trying it.
Regarding the network availability, did you try entering login information in profile settings -> folders -> network?
