I noticed that backup finds in the target a version of the file that it is in the process of backing up from a source, then it deletes the version of the existing file in the target, even if it is in a different directory vs. the target directory. e.g. if file A.v1 exists in target, and VV backs up file A.v2 from source to target, then A.v1 gets deleted. This is a problem for me because I need to keep the same file in different directories in the target. Is there a way to avoid this uncontrolled deletion of files in the target? |

A.v1 will get deleted if it does not have a corresponding file in source. If you want to keep target files even if they are deleted from source, you should use one of the replication methods.
