I installed VV Pro 2 in an office and it's wonderful! Many thanks. However, I know the backup is not bootable. I just bought a laptop with vista home pre-64 bit, and suffered a total wipe out in the first week!
It took hours to re-do.
I figured to buy vv pro 2 and make a full backup to ext drive. I can do that.
But if vista should crash and burn again, how would one get the files back onto the laptop? when booting from a recovery disk or iso disk, there are only so many options, and getting files from an external drive is not listed, as far as I can see.
Trying to copy back to an active os seems almost un-doable. |

Hello
As you mention, ViceVersa does not make a bootable backup, so in case of a complete failure, the OS needs to be reinstalled and data copied back.
thanks _________________ --
