Hi,
I used to use the VVScheduler for sychronizing, but I'm now using the VVEngine since it works in basically real-time. However, I keep having errors (which I expect, since an office of 6 all access the same date). However, unless I explicitly open VVEngine, I don't see when it errors. Is there any way to pop up a window that lets me know there are errors, and if I'd like to manually run compare? Or is there a way to set execution options, simiar to VVScheduler that allows me to have the compare window open when the VVEngine is running? As of right now, I have to keep manually checking VVEngine to see if there were errors, and then open the compare dialog from the VVEngine window so that I can manually fix conficts and/or verify if errors are ignorable or not.

Let me know thoughts...
Thanks!
Jeff B

Hello

in a future VVEngine release we'll add this functionality (e.g. the icon on the taskbar will become red on error). Right now you could setup an e-mail notification, see http://www.tgrmn.com/web/kb/category10.htm

thanks

I like the red taskbar icon... that sounds like a viable option, especially if you add a "manual compare" item to the right click menu of the icon. Then I wouldn't even have to open the VVEngine web page.

What is your policy on upgrades? If you add that icon color change functionality, and it becomes available, will I have to pay or does VVEngine download updates for a certain amount of time past purchase?

Thanks!
