Hi

I have a Vice Versa PRO 2 and use it on a FujitsuSiemens computer with Windows Vista Ultimate 32.
I have an USB iomega, Prestige hard drive (1 TB, G:\) connected to the computer and a Lecie Network Space (1 TB, W:\) on my home network.
I have generated and saved a profile which uses W:\ as source and G:\ as target using backup method. When i satrt VV, load the profile and press "Compare" the program start comparing the two disks and if i choose "Execute" it will backup W:\ to G:\.
However, if a start the VVScheduler and add a task using the same profile and add run task i get the following error message.
"Source: folder "W:\" not found. The system cannot find the path specified."
W:\ is active in explorer. If i then compare and run the same profile using VV it works OK.
What is the problem and how i can solve it?

Hello,

G:\ is probably mapped network drive which is not visible when running the scheduled task? Under which account are you scheduling the task in VVScheduler?

Possible solutions:
a) Use the same account in VVScheduler as you use when running manually

b) use UNC paths instead of mapped drives (i.e. \\computer\share\ ) which points to the LaCie Network Space. Do you need a password to connect? If positive enter it under profile settings -> folders -> network

c) Use VVengine instead of VVScheduler : http://www.tgrmn.com/web/vvengine/vvengine.htm

thanks
