I am using ViceVersa Pro 2 build 2015 to backup (mirror source to target) over LAN to a D-Link DNS 323 hard drive box.

When the job runs it first needlessly deletes all files from the target before it starts the copying.

Other jobs, such as augmenting files to the same target (but in other folders) work fine.

I'd like to prevent the file deletion.

Hello

when ViceVersa copies files from source to target, do the file timestamps match?

thanks

Yes, the date and time of last file modification is the same.

After posting this topic last night I double checked.

I also checked the system time for the hard drive box. It can be configured to get its time from a computer or a time server. It is within 30 seconds of this particular computer I'm using at the moment.

I'm wondering can the software be corrupted and require removal and re-install?

Can you please send the profile log to support@tgrmn.com
A profile log can be set under profile settings -> execution
the log will contain information on the files copied from source to target.

thanks

I think I stumbled on the cause... and the cure of the problem.

It was too obvious, you know "can't see the forest for the trees."

I realized I had three different source folders all pointing to the same target.

So I created two new folders on the target, edited two of the jobs accordingly and am happy to report the job went as expected.
