The help file says:
If VVLauncher is running, stop it first. Once the new installation is finished, VVLauncher needs to be setup again. If VVLauncher is installed as a Windows Service, uninstall it first.

Unfortunately, the help file does not identify what is meant by 'the launcher', or what it means to 'set it up again', or what is meant by 'installed as a windows service'.

Would you please translate?

Hello

VVLauncher is an extra tool that can be used , included in the ViceVersa PRO download. Under Start->All Programs->ViceVersa PRO->Tools. IF you are using VVLauncher stop it first.

thanks!

Thanks. I have found the tool. What do you mean by 'installed as a windows service'?

Thankyou. What is the advantage of installing it as a windows service?

This was written for VVEngine (a separate add-on) but it applies to VVLauncher too : http://www.tgrmn.com/web/kb/item56.htm

I can see the advantage of running the VV Engine as a Windows service, so that it runs when no one is logged on, but what is the advantage of running the VV Launcer in that way? Is not only used by persons logged on?

There is no real advantage in running VVLauncher as a service, unless it needs to run on a server with no-one logged on. On servers most customers use the VVEngine add-on for that. thanks
