Hi,
I am using Vice Versa 2 Pro for quite some time now mainly to backup data from my desktop and work laptop to my Network access storage device. The only problem that i find a little bit annoying is the need to login to the folder share on the NAS through Windows Explorer before i start the comparison process. Isn't there a way to include in the profile the username and password of the target folder and/or the source folder if the need arises??
Also an addition i have just though of.
A way to have one source and two target folders.
To explain. If someone needs to transfer backup files from one source to two target folders, instead of assigning two paths and having the backup procedure being repeated twice repeat it only once by transfering the files to the two target folders in one go.
Thanks. |

Hello
If you are using ViceVersa PRO, go to profile settings -> folders -> network , you can enter user name and password for the NAS there.
You can backup to multiple destinations (targets) in ViceVersa PRO by defining multiple source / target pairs, e.g.
A<->B
A<->C

Thanks for the reply.
The first answer solves the question.
About the second one,
what i mean is when having
a<>b
and
a<>c
the backup procedure to be done at the same time and not first
a<>b and when it finishes
a<>c.
Scan a compare to b then c whitout recomparing with a
then copy a to b and c at the same time to cut on time.
Thanks. |
