This afternoon I logged in to my account and saw within the VVScheduler from within ViceVersa Pro the last run result -2147023570.

I did start a service for running the profile fully automatically.

I checked the log-file but nothing was written in it.

Then I forced a run from within the VVScheduler and that worked fine.

Within the task I gave run as "VLAMING3\rick" where VLAMING3 is the computer an "rick" is my userid.

This day my wife worked on the computer and was logged in with her own userid.

I see the service is started under her account but ViceVersa Pro reports the last run result -2147023570

When I'm logged in and the service is starting the task it workes fine.

Is it possible to let the task run smoothly from whoever is logged in on the VLAMING3?

Hello,

do you have the files ViceVersa.dmp and ViceVersa.rpt in the installation folder? Could you send them to support@tgrmn.com together with the profile log and the profile file (.fsf)

thanks!

What is the status? I have only 8 days left of my evaluation.

Please can you reply via this forum or via the mail I send to you?

I get that sometimes.

For other people who come across this thread, in my experience it means that the job got cancelled. That can mean that:
  • You really did manually cancel the job
  • In the schedule you selected the "cancel the job if it runs for x hours" and the job runs for longer than that time, so it then gets stopped
  • A Windows update or similar automatically ran that rebooted the PC afterwards

I know that these don't appear to be the problem for you which is that the job will only run when you are logged on for the whole length of the job.

If you open up the VVScheduler and click "edit Task" on the first tab at the bottom there is an option to "Run only if logged on" - is that selected?

If not, which operating system are you running, include which version of XP or Vista if it is one of those?

Hello Travelcard,

It looks like the things you mention are not the reason for my problem.

The "Run only if logged on" option is unchecked.

I'm running Windows Vista 32, service pack 1 installed.

If I have time I want to try if the problem is also there on one of my computers running XP.

Unfortenately support seems to have given up trying to solve this problem....

Hi rvlaming,
I can say for sure that VV works on Vista 32bit SP1 as I've used it on that before.

support here don't give up, but they do sometimes need a nudge to remind them to check the forums. I usually email the address in the second post and ask them to look at the thread I'm currently stuck on.

I'll be interested to find out what this turns out to be. Overall Vice Versa is a great product in my experience.

Hello Rick

whe have received your e-mail with the dmp and rpt files. It looks like VV is crashing on Vista if you schedule it to run under one account and then login a different account. I'll try to reproduce the issue on our Vista 32-bit machine here.

thanks
