|
|
I had a 32-bit Vista laptop that was recently replaced with a Vista 64-bit system.
I noticed that there was a download for a 64-bit version of VV Pro, but was wondering if I could just use my 32-bit version and license without issue.
Thanks |

Yes, the same license is valid for both versions. On Vista 64-bit you can decide to run ViceVersa PRO 32-bit (it will run as a 32-bit application) or ViceVersa PRO 64-bit (it will run as a native 64-bit application), your choice

I now have this working. And great. The one issue, though, is a VSS issue. I am constantly getting VSS errors about "The VSS Coordinator class is not registered". After some research this appears to be an issue with a 32-bit app calling the 64-bit VSS.
Is this true? Can support confirm this? If so, I will upgrade to the 64-bit version. |

Yes, that is correct.
To use VSS on Windows 64-bit you'll need ViceVersa PRO 2 64-bit.
The 32-bit version of ViceVersa does work on Windows 64-bit, but will not be able to use VSS.
