Help, please. I'm trying to schedule my first backup but when I try to save the task I'm greeted with: "0x8007005: You do not have permission to perform the requested operation". I'm running as 'User' with Admin and I have no password. What's wrong? Sad

Hi,

you'll need a password setup to schedule tasks in Windows. Please see:

thanks

Does VV engine have the same requirement? I really don't want to have to set a password.

Hello, VVEngine does not rely on the Windows Task Scheduler, like VVScheduler does, so it can schedule ViceVersa profiles without a password.

This profile definitely exists yet I get this error from VV engine:

Status Details: File not found: Outlook.fsf

I created it with VV and stored in 'My Documents'. I browse for it in VV Engine. I find it but can't enable it. What have I screwed up now Sad

Sorry about this Sad
Questions:
- when you select the profile in the browser after clicking on 'add profile' , does it show the entire path?
- you then click on 'OK', does it show only outlook.fsf , without the complete path (my documents ... etc)
- which browser are you using?
- which VVEngine, is it the latest build 07?

thanks!

When I browse for profile, the entire path is shown.
When I click on OK, the profile shows only outlook.fsf
Browser is latest firefox
engine is: VVEngine 1.1 (SN5)

I don't know what I did but now when I select the profile, the entire path is displayed and the profile can be enabled. I did enable VSS as a service. Was that it?

Hi, there was an incomptatibility between FireFox 3 and VVEngine SN5 which has been fixed in the latest VVEngine build 07. Using FireFox 3 with the old VVEngine would cuase the file path to be lost.
thanks
