Hi again,
I refer to topic
http://www.tgrmn.com/web/forum/viewtopict2320.htm
Well, what means CRC Error exactly?
For example the VV LOG line:
Copying file V:\Archiv\OK-WWW Material\suchmaschinen\suchmaschinenoptimierung-frames.htm <to> N:\Archiv\OK-WWW Material\suchmaschinen\suchmaschinenoptimierung-frames.htm (39,37KB) ... CRC check ... [CRC check failed: file "\\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy1\Archiv\OK-WWW Material\suchmaschinen\suchmaschinenoptimierung-frames.htm" not copied correctly.] [ERROR].
When I copy directly with VV (no temporary files) I have the file also on the target. But both files are identical - arnt they? So, is the CRC error only a soft CRC, meaning the error recovery of the CRC algorithm has corrected the error?
Please clarify
Thanks
Gottfried

Hello
This is a strange error. It seems like the CRC values that are calculated immediately after a file copy do not match, but if you calculate the same CRC values later on, they do match. Honestly I do not know why is happening: it could be something related to file caching and the NAS. It is quite strange...
