I had previously submitted a topic of which I had thought to of resolved myself, however it's returned. I see there were known issues with MAC, but in my case, this is between 2 Windows Servers 2003 with NTFS shares.
I perform a synchronization between 2 servers over a VPN and mysteriously get files that are timestamped with 2/1/1982 9:22:00 at the destination. I can manually copy the files from the source, but it never fails, once a scheduled sync occurs with VVEngine, the files become corrupt with the old timestamp mentioned above.
I have upgrade to the lastest build, VP 2 build 2015 with hopes of this resolving it, however have had no luck. I've performed check disk of each volume and they're perfectly clean. There has been no connectivity problems over our VPN.
Please help! |

I have for over 2 years been successfully mirroring my pst files and other related Applications Data and Local Settings files for Outlook 2003 with Visa Versa to my laptop and my wife's machine (all WinXP, latest), but starting a couple of months ago this no longer worked.
The file doesn't "copy" in the normal way (taking several minutes), but almost instantly shows an unusable destination file with the correct size but the corrupted date 2/1/1982 7:22:00 PM (I assume the time difference from the other post has to to with my time zone--Pacific). Outlook trys to run, then immediately closes with an error message. This happens even if I go to the destination machine and delete all the files and empty the trash, restart the machine and run VV again! Totally weird. I have tried a variety of the advanced settings, and also run Detect and Repair on Outlook. Any ideas??? |

I downloaded the new VV version, and it corrected the timestamp problem. All is well!

I have updated everything up to the latest version and still having the same problems. Files at the destination are getting corrupted with the 1982 timestamp... |

Woops!
I just ran VV after making Outlook file changes on my laptop (i.e., the sync was from laptop to desktop this time), and had the same corruption problem as before--this time the 1982 was on the desktop.
Hey, TGRMN Software Support, can you please weigh in on this question?
Thanks

Hello jy3sonet and pigletag
It could be that these are still old files created with previous versions of ViceVersa PRO. Can you please overwrite these old files using Windows Explorer and see if the problem still exists?

Thanks for the reply. I had already repaired the desktop .pst file by copying as suggested. However, the file I manually copied from the laptop was the modified version of the file I had sent to it successfully with the new VV version. There were no other versions of files in the source directory. So, I'm still confused.
BTW, the normal copy speed of VV versus Explorer is remarkably faster! I'm very impressed.
