Windows xp with SP 3, using 2015 (2014 worked fine).
After the first backup using VSS, it refuses to do it a second time, saying VSS_E_PROVIDER_VETO.
Why, and how do I stop it?
thanks

Hello
There were no changes to the VSS code in ViceVersa between build 2014 and 2015 , I do not think this is due to the new build.
Try check the status of VSS using the commands
VSSADMIN LIST SHADOWS
and
VSSADMIN LIST PROVIDERS
on the command line.
thanks _________________ --

Yes, your're right, I am trying to use on a drive "created" by TrueCrypt, and that is the difference; that must be the problem. It works fine on other unencrypted drives.
I think close this one down.
thanks and regards

Yes, that must be the problem, I did hear of this issue before. TrueCrypt does not allow Volume Shadow Copies to be created. thanks _________________ --
