I have a question. If I have two locations connected via WAN with a server in each location, is it possible to sync a folder on each server and then have users access that folder via a share? I want users to have the most up to date file regardless of where they are, and opening over the WAN is painful.
It appears that VV will do this. Am I right?
Thanks! |

Yes, you can use VV to sync the files over the WAN, a VPN or LAN connection between the two servers is needed to sync the folders. thanks _________________ --

Can I copy the source to an external drive and then to the target before the first synch? It's a large data set and subsequent changes can happen over the WAN, but the first one would take ages... |

Yes, that is possible. While copying the files make sure that the file timestamps are not changed, so that when VV compares them it will recognize them as being the same file. _________________ --
