Failing to copy any files from mapped drives R: to Z: The files do not exist on target drive. The times on the 2 machines involved are within seconds of each other. Build is 2014
Message given is that "The size, attributes or timestamp of z:\AAA\BBB\xxxxxxx.xxx have changed after comparison" Because the target file does not yet exist how can the attributes have changed? The error message does not make sense.
I have tried "Mirror Source to Target" and "Replication - Augment Target"
Neither worked.
What am I doing wrong ? |

Hello
This error message is given when a file timestamp changes after comparison of source and target but before the file is copied.
Are you sure the target file do not exist?
You can switch this error message off in the profile settings -> advanced settings, the option is called "Copy files even if timestamp changes after initial comparison".

My problem is now resolved. Sadly I am not exactly sure how.
I had previously changed the option in the profile settings that you suggested but it seemed to have no effect.
As I was seing it : the comparison of folders/files showed files in the left hand panel (the source) and no equivalents in the right hand panel (the target). On pressing the execute button I got the messages about the changed attributes of the first, then the second , then the third etc file shown in the source directory.
I had also scheduled it as a batch job using the same viceversa profile so it may be that changing the profile option allowed it to work. The upshot is that all my files have been copied and any new changes are being copied by the scheduled job. Happy ending but still a puzzle. Thanks for suggestion. |
