Hi

We have been using vvengine for about 3 month without a problem until yesterday!

I can start the service using the admin account as we are syncing files across the network but when i click on vvenginehome.exe i get the following message

"windows service is not running. Start the service from the windows service management console"

Obivously when i go there it says its running.

Any ideas?

FYI - i downloaded the latest versions today to to if that helped in any way, but alas it didn't

Hello

Can you open the VVEngine interface by going to directly http://127.0.0.1:8001 with your browser? (if you changed the VVEngine port from 8001 to a custom value use that value)

Please also check the file VVEngine.log in the application data folder for the account running the service; is VVEngine running properly?

Hi

Looked at the logs and saw that the vvengine.db was corrupted, so deleted all entries in the Application Data\VVEngine directory and set the profiles up again.

It's working a treat again

You can upgrade to the latest VVEngine build which does contain some improvements on database handling. To update, click on 'check for updates' in VVEngine (at the bottom of the VVEngine profile page). thanks
