I am using VV to backup my laptop computer that is the property of my company. I have both personal and company files on the computer.

Our IT dept has made no provision to back up our machines, so I took it on myself to come up with a solution. VV is what I am using.

Our IT guys found VV on my machine and want me to remove it.

Can you provide me with any ammunition to fight this battle?

Tom

Why do they want you to remove ViceVersa, any reasons given?

Backing up your files is critical and especially the files YOU created (if those files are lost, no copies exist!)

Several weeks ago Google released a paper detailing an analysis of the hard drives they use in their data centers. Google uses many, many hard drives.

They reported some very scary numbers about hard drive failure rates. For example, for drives older than 2 years, Google reports seeing about a 7% failure rate per year.

The IT guys don't like shareware, I guess. Do you have any reviews I can cite, major customers, etc?

Hello

This is a review on the Microsoft IT magazine:

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-au/magazine/cc162482(TechNet.10).aspx

Many corporations and universities use ViceVersa PRO. ViceVersa PRO is now 7 years old. It is a very reliable and stable applications, used daily by thousands of people.

thanks
