I'm interested in buying Vice Versa but noticed that the archived files have something like "2008-07-23_01-32-36_DEL_T" attached to it. Is there a way to make archived copies without renaming the files?
I find it a little too much of a hazard that I have to open VV first, select the proper profile, select target folderand then select the files you need. It's also limited, because it only allows you to select files and not folders and possible subfolders (as far as I can tell). |

That was my post, for some reason it logged me out again before I submitted that post. |

Hello,
unfortunately it is not possible because ViceVersa needs that suffix in case there are multiple copies of the same file in the archive....

Yes, I can understand that the suffix is needed.
What I don't understand is that I can't restore a folder and all its subfolders, this is something that could be easily implemented in my view.
Right now it's just a major hassle to restore a folder with many subfolders, something our small business simply doesn't have the time for, a restore should easy and fast. Hopefully you will change that one day, because for the rest you seem to have an excellent product.
Thank you for your help. |

No reply? Thanks for letting me know that you're not really interested in getting any new customers, it gives me some idea what I can expect from support if I would decide to buy it...not a whole lot I guess.
But then again, it's not suprising that you don't reply, since this is actually an important issue (and you know that), but you try shove it under the carpet because it obviously requires too many changes.
I'm going to look somewhere, thank you for your time. |

Hello
sorry for late reply. The archive viewer tool is not limited to copying one folder at a time, but in the future we plan to support restoring multiple subfolders based on timestamp.
