|
|
I have found that the VV Engine is a nice tool- however the transfer rate is almost 1/2 of when I use the same profile using Vice Versa Pro.
Currently the VVEngine is running as a registered service.
Is this a known issue? or is it just a mismatch in the displayed transfer rate?
Running Network Monitor however- it seems to underline this result (that the VV Engine is not as efficient) as the software alone.
Running Server 2003 R2 SP2 (X32)
Dedicated Gigabit Crossover to Second Server running Server 2003 Enterprise Edition (X32)
We are getting max 30% utilization using Vice Versa Pro and roughly max 9 - 14 % utilization when running the VVEngine Service.
Is there a throttle during unregistered trial mode?
VVersa Pro is registered - however VVEngine 1.1 as trial; also running latest VVersa Engine.
Please advise whether there is something we can do to get more speed during transfers or whether a new release in the works.
Recommendation: Add the resume feature to Vice Versa Pro with some simple scheduling tasks or then port the entire tool as one web console.

Hello
possibly the issue is due to the fact that when ViceVersa PRO runs automated (e.g. from VVEngine), by default it runs with a low process and thread priority, i.e. "idle"
In the profile settings -> performance , try setting the Process Proirity option to "Normal"; does that improve speed when running in VVEngine?
