What are they -- dir/file #s, sizes, etc.? Is VV being used successfully anywhere syncing millions of dirs/files? I have a need for a util that can handle this on Win2K Server. The file system on both systems is NTFS created using Veritas Storage Foundation for Windows.
thanks! |

It depends on the memory you have available and what other applications are using that memory. We have many customers using ViceVersa on servers with millions+ file/dir. It is quite easy to find out. Download ViceVersa, select source and target and click compare. If it passes the comparison process OK, then it is will work ok for the rest of the execution. Otherwise it will error out. The comparison process is the critical point where most memory is needed. _________________ --
