What if ViceVersa never manages to complete a backup job?
I've got it trying to back up a remote location across a VPN, but every time the connection drops, ViceVersa spits out a "cannot find network location" error. This happens despite local Windows being able to recover a dropped connection in under a second. What can I do to ensure the job is completed?
btw, VV is running as an app (on target server), source as UNC. |

No, ViceVersa does not continue with the next file. It fails the job instead, with a "network path not found" error message.
Is VV supposed to do that, by default? Is there some option I'm not setting? |

Hello, if the connection drops while ViceVersa is copying some files (and not while comparing source and target folders), I would expect ViceVersa to skip some of the files and then continue with the next files once the connection is back.
Unless ViceVersa needs to login the VPN connection (login setup under profile settings -> folders -> network) In that case ViceVersa will reconnect only when comparison restarts. thanks _________________ --

Much thanks, that appears to have solved our problem. |
