|
|
I am experiencing extremely unstable performance from my ViceVersa setups. I have large setups that are responsible for keeping files replicated across a load balancing setup at our web site hosting center for a lot of different sites.
Every site has its own scheduled file replication job in ViceVersa, but I am getting more and more annoyed over the way ViceVersa forces me to reboot my servers constantly due to different erratic beahaviour.
For example:
The jobs start returning exit code "-1073741819", and when a manual comparison is run, the folders aren't sync'ed at all. To make it even worse, the logging has stopped too!
How can this be? Can we please get a fix out for this ASAP? |

Another thing, how can it be that when running a task manually though the ViceVersa Scheduler doesn't work, it always still works to make a manual "show comparison" and then clicking execute?
There shouldn't be any difference between the two methods other than the "Run task now" should run the task with no dialogues, no questions asked. |

Hello,
regarding the first issue, can you please send the log file to support@tgrmn.com and the files viceversa.dmp and viceversa.rpt if they are present in the installation folder?
Regarding the second issue: it depends on the user account that is used to run the task in the scheduler. _________________ --

The user account is the same as the one I'm logged on as. That's why it doesn't make sense.
Today I suddenly get some new (but not less annoying) errors:
[ERROR] Target: folder "\\sx-web07\c$\www\saxotech\hrads.no.publicus.com\ads\" not found. The network BIOS session limit was exceeded.
and
[ERROR] Target: folder "\\sx-web07\c$\www\saxotech\kvads.no.publicus.com\ads\" not found. Not enough server storage is available to process this command.
But again, I can run the task through 'Show comparison' , and everything works fine...
There is absolutely no logic in this in my opinion. |

Well found out that ViceVersa had an endless amount of idle sessions on the target server. When I killed them manually, the problem was solved.
Why doesn't ViceVersa disconnect it's sessions after finishing the task? |
