VV Backup runs on WinXP Home system. Source is a mapped network drive on a Linux Server (Ubuntu/SAMBA). Target is local drive C:\Backup.
VV backup work fine, but many (not all) of the copied files cannot be moved or deleted from c:\Backup using Win Explorer or from command line. Booted into Safe mode - same problem. Error messages is "Access is denied".
have tried Moveonboot and fileutils - both don't help. any ideas? |

neither of those. managed to delete the files by booting to safe mode, going to the "security" tab for the root backup folder and changing the ownership right to "everything" for my user. for some reason, admin had all rights, but my user didn't and this messed things up even though my user has admin privileges. Moved backup to a new folder and will see if problem arises again. |
