Trying out ViceVersa and I think it will do what we require. However we are intending to use ViceVersa to keep a folder updated at a remote Office via a VPN.
The Target folder will be Read only so we will only be checking and Synchronising from the Source Folder.
This works fine so long as the VPN is up. But we would like the VPN start prior the Compare action and drop when the synchronise is finished.
I know this can be done from Vice Versa and Script files(using RASDIAL), but there does not seem to be any way to make VVEngine run these scripts.
Unless we are missing something obvious.
Can anyone help. |

Hello,
when VVEngine runs the ViceVersa profile, the proifle then runs the scripts (before and after). Are you looking for something different?

Thanks for the Reply, I had already tried that and although the batch files ran OK when the Execute had been caaried out form ViceVersaPro they didnt appear to work when VVEngine used that Profile.
Must have been something I had done wrong.
Anyway I wont be persuing this further as we decided to install the VPN Rasdial as a Service. Though that has its own problems.
Thanks again. |
