|
|
I have two Windows 2003 Servers. Both have multiple NICs. At the moment I am using only one NIC for regular network traffic.
I am interested in using ViceVersa to replicate files on the first server over the network to the second server periodically throughout the day. Since the quantity and size of these files can sometimes be substantial, I would like to minimize the impact of this replication on the network.
Is there any way in ViceVersa to choose a specific NIC card over which to replicate (in this case, my second NIC which is connected through a switch to the other server but not the main network)?
Thanks in advance for your answer. |

Hello
ViceVersa uses the SMB protocol provided by Windows to copy files, it does not use IP addresses directly. The only way to do this would be to find a way and let Windows use a specific IP address (of the corrrect NIC) when copying files between servers.
