I am have a problem copying one volume to another volume using ViceVersa Pro. On a large number of files I am receiving the following error on the copy:
2008-03-03 10:57:19 : Copying file \\?\O:\ISG\ISA\Common\F\11\BUDGETS\2006\2006 Budget Planning\IS to JM.xls <to> \\?\UNC\Tcluster02\Users_EMC\ISG\ISA\Common\F\11\BUDGETS\2006\2006 Budget Planning\IS to JM.xls (39.00KB) [Can not copy security descriptions (SACL) to folder "\\?\UNC\Tcluster02\Users_EMC\ISG\ISA\Common\F\11\BUDGETS\2006\2006 Budget Planning\IS to JM.xls". The security ID structure is invalid.] [ERROR].
I beleive that the errors area a result of unknown GID's in the security structure of the files as shown below:
Dear Sir/Madame:
The errors area a result of Unknown GID's in the security structure of the files.
I wanted to check to see if there was any way to tell ViceCersa to ignore the unreferenced guid's and copy the security information that can be referenced.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated |

In this case I can't because I do need the security information. Because of the unresolved SIDs I end up with thousands of files that don't copy.
Is there any way that the file/directories can be copied and any ACL information that can be resolved can be copied but just skip the unresolved SIDs and continue.
Thanks; |
