Have been using another product for years to sync files between computers, and it works beautifully, but am looking at VV Pro for one specific capability I'm lacking, yet can't find it in FAQs, forums etc., although it may be related to VVLauncher:

What I want is to launch "interactive" (preview) syncs on a batch of unrelated folders rather than one at a time. As far as I can see, VV only does one folder at a time. While that folder can have any number of sub- and subsubfolders, what I really need to do is say "Sync these fifteen different and unrelated folders." Doesn't sound like a big deal but I have to sync three computers twice a week both for backup and travel.

What I'd like to do is to set up three "profiles:" One for "sync all of these folder, copying the newer from each," another for "duplicate all of these folders from PC-a to PC-b" or vice versa, and another for "do an interactive/preview sync for all of these folders so I can click yes or no on each potential transfer."

Possible in VVPro?

Thanks very much in advance for any assistance.

It seems possible by using multiple profiles plus the VVengine add-on to manage the profiles, see http://www.tgrmn.com/web/vvengine/vvengine.htm

thanks

"Possible?" Is there a way to know for sure before I buy the add-on? Sounds liek you're at least certain the basic product can't do it, right?

Thanks again.

OK, just loaded the basic product myself and found it in first ten seconds: Called "multiple source/target."

Yes, you can have multiple sources / targets in the same profile, multiple profiles are only needed if you want different settings for each pair. thanks
