I'm using VV pro v2. I successfully backup some folders with encryption option checked.
My question is how can I decrypt these files? |

Hello
You can do a comparison between a source (where you want to decrypt the files) and the target (the encrypted files). Then copy files from target to source.
There is also an alternative method: use as source the encrypted files, as target use <blank>, ie literally type '<blank>' in the target folder. This instructs VV not to load anything in the target folder. Click compare. Once in the comparison window select the file(s) you want to decrypt, right click and from the contect menu choose 'copy to...' Now select location where you want to decrypt the files. _________________ --

Why do I need password to decrypt files?
I used Copy to Source for encrypted files (.pst) and they decrypted to Outlook folder without prompting for password.
Thank you |

If you use the Windows XP native encryption you do not need a password. You need a password in the profile settings (VV PRO) if you use the ViceVersa encryption. The ViceVersa encryption is supported on all Windows systems and on all type of disks including external USB. _________________ --
