|
|
I have downloaded an evaluation version of ViceVersa PRO 2 build 2014 and I am trying to backup my Outlook 2007 open .PST fils in Vista to a network drive. My user account has administrator rights (and it is the only account on the laptop) and I have checked the box to use VSS in the Advanced Settings of VV PRO 2. I still get an error that VSS cannot run as I do not have administrator rights. Any suggestions please? |

Hi,
by default Vista does not run applications with Administrator privileges, even if you are logged in as Administrator.
To run ViceVersa with Administrator privileges (required to use VSS) :
1) Locate the ViceVersa icon or short cut and Right-Click on it
2) From the Menu select the Run As Administrator option

Great, it works. I also see now that I can change the properties of the shortcut to always run as Administrator. Thanks again. |
