Is the same account running VVLauncher in automatic mode and ViceVersa in manual mode?
Most of the time this error happens because the account running VVLauncher does not have access to the target.
If you setup a log file in the ViceVersa profile settings you may see additional info on why the target is not accessible. _________________ --

yes the backup job is running under a different user name but the error doesn't say that it doesn't have access, it says the folder doesn't exist. plus i have no security set up on the folders anyway. but i will check that again to be sure. and the job doesn't fail accessing any of the other folders, just this one. the only thing different about this folder is that it has an "&" in the file name. could that cause a problem? thanx. |

Hello, no the '&' should not be the cause... Let us know if you are able to isolate the cause of this ... thanks! _________________ --

i logged in as the user i run the backups under and copied files to the folder so it can't be an access rights issue. i renamed the target directory without the & just in case but you were right it didn't matter. i deleted the job and the profile just to make sure and created them over again. when i run the profile manually, it updates fine. when i schedule it to run, it still fails with code 2. it says the target folder does not exist. my source is the "my documents" folder under windowsxp current logged in user and the target is now just a folder with a different name. how can the folder not exist when i use the drop down boxes to create the profile and the profile runs fine manually? |
