When I set up VVEngine to run as a service, it erased all 12 of my scheduled profiles. So I re-created them. Then, when I restarted the VVEngine service to do some troubleshooting, it erased all 12 schedules again. What the #$@! is going on? The software can't possibly expect me to re-create every single profile schedule each time it is restarted, can it? -Patrick |

All profiles are stored in the file vvengine.xml in the application data folder of the account running VVEngine.
There should also be a backup file for the XML file.
Can you please check what happens to this file when you restart?

That explains it. I'm guessing that when I first set up VVengine to run as a service it switched to the application data folder of the default account for running the service. Then when I shut the service down to change the account under which it was running, the service switched to yet another application data folder when it restarted. I have found the old XML file per your instructions. Now that I know what is going on, I can avoid spending another 20 minutes re-creating and testing the schedules for a fourth time. Thanks.[/img] |
