I have created two backup profiles and use VVScheduler to run them daily. They never run as scheduled and the display in the VVScheduler shows an "error" status for both but there are no errors in the Profile log.

I run the profiles uder a seperate user id (Viceversa) I created since mine (Richard) does not require a password to logon and ViceVersa appears to require a password to be entered into the scheduler (maybe there is a way to run the scheduler under an ID that does not require a password. That would be useful to know, but I digress)

The Viceversa ID is not logged on when VVScheduler runs the profiles. I have entered the correct password in the VScheduler. If I run the fsf profiles from my id (Richard) using the ViceVersa interface, they run fine. I am assuming this is a Vista administrative issue but cannot find any errors in the log file to help diagnose the problem. Suggestions?

Vista task Scheduler? I only use the VVSchedular function to start the backup tasks. Which Vista scheduler task are you referring to and how do I access it to check what you are asking? Thanks

Can someone please help me understand why my backups that I have createdin VVScheduler are not running in Vista? If I run them manually they run but do not in unattended mode. The previous post mentioned something about setting them to run in "Elevated mode" in the Vista scheduler. I do not see any option for this in any of the screens in VVScheduler. HELP !

Hello
when you add a task to VVScheduler, VVScheduler adds a task to the Windows Scheduler. Try opening the Vista Task Scheduler and check if the ViceVersa task(s) are running "elevated" (it is an option of each task in the Vista Task Scheduler)
thanks

I checked the Vista Task scheduler and it is set to run with highest privileges. in the General tab of the scheduler. I do not see any option with the words "elevated mode" so I assume this is what you mean. There are errors in the task history file for every instance the scheduled task is supposed to start (every night). Here is one of the error entries:

- System

- Provider

[ Name] Microsoft-Windows-TaskScheduler

When doing a web search on the resultcode I was directed to a support forum for Acronis backup software (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=175737) that implies this may e casued by a Vista file system issue and they propose a workaround to it by activating a paging file for all HD partitions. I am hoping my problem is a simpler issue and someone here can help me resolve this issue. Thanks Confused
