|
|
About 10 files won't copy each time I run the program (manually or scheduled) and the log says to make sure they aren't in use.
However, there is no problem when I copy them in Explorer or from a Command Prompt.
I need these files to sync up - why won't they? |

They are ACT database files. Nobody is logged into ACT when they are trying to sync though.
What's VSS? |

Here's the actual message from the log (it's the same for all the files in question):
2007-12-24 21:14:10 : Copying file \\192.168.1.252\public\actdata\New Working.dbf <to> C:\Backup\actdata\New Working.dbf (15.36MB) [Can not open "\\192.168.1.252\public\actdata\New Working.dbf". The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.] [ERROR]. |

That won't work. According to the link you sent:
"The file being copied must be on a local disk, not on a network disk." |

You are right! If you copy the files using Windows Explorer, does it work?
Try also the Viceversa option in the profile settings: Try to copy files that are in use by other applications , it is in the advanced settings.

As I said in my original post, Explorer copies them with no problem.
I will check the advanced settings option and get back to you. |

The advanced option "try to copy" worked.
Thanks! |
