|
|
Hi
Using the Vista 64-bit version of VVPro I have set up a Mirror Source backup with the following settings:
Continue even if some source/target folders are inaccessible
- Create sources/targets that do not exist
Comparison
- Comparison Type: Size and Timestamp
Execution
- Method: Backup (Mirror Source to Target)
- No overwrite / read-only / error confirmations
- Log File: "C:\ProgramData\ViceVersa PRO 2\log1.log" (max 10000 KB)
- Log only summary and errors
- No archive for deleted/replaced source files
- No archive for deleted/replaced target files
The problem that I am experiencing is that the profile keeps running; backing up and deleting ALL files selected, even when no changes have been made.
The profile runs, updates any files, and then deletes files deleted from the Source, but within minutes of the profile completing, it runs again and spends more than 30 minutes backing up & deleting files even when I have not touched the PC.
Why is it doing this? Any suggestions?
Many thanks. |

Hello
how did you schedule ViceVersa, using which tool?
what type of drive is the target, are file timestamps set correctly on the target?
thanks _________________ --

Hi
I created the profile using ViceVersa Pro (selecting Mirror Source to Target).
I created the schedule using VVEngine using the "Monitor Source and Run When File Changes Are Detected" option under "Monitoring" (at the bottom of the schedule selecting screen).
The source drive is a NFTS format, as is the Target drive.
As far as I can make out the timestamp appears correct; when I save a file the correct date & time are recorded.
Many thanks. |
