Hi,
a little tip that I'd like to share is that when I happen to have to change my drive-mappings, or I have to restore my laptop to other directories, it is really easy to open a VVP project in say ultraedit and do a search/replace on drives/paths and thus cut a lot of "GUI point_and_clicks" out of the process of changing a project.
Example:
I had a laptop where I were the user "Administrator" (don't ask why! ).
I got a new laptop that I installed myself and thus I created my own "user". So... now to the data restore from my backup...
Waaaaaaaait a sec... The restore would go to \Documents and Settings\Administrator but I was now \Documents and Settings\User
So - edit project, search/replace "\Administrator" -> "\User" and bingo! _________________ bst rgds

To avoid drive letter issues, you can just use
\\machinename\sharename
format in VV. (So long as you've told Windows to remember the password for that share or logged on that session). |
