Hi there,
I’m encountering an issue when backing up a “live” SQL db in that I get an error message in the VV log saying “file xyx cannot be read. File may be in use by another application…” if I have the comparison set to CRC. When changed to date/timestamp comparison everything works fine. I’ve ensured that Volume Shadow Copy is being used at all times.
Can the CRC check be applied to ldf and mdf files that are being accessed by a SQL service?
Thanks! |

Hello
CRC comparison does not work with VSS... but try the option "Verify copy operation by checking CRC" in the advanced profile settings, this option works with VSS. thanks _________________ --
