I backup from machine 1 to disk to machine 2 and back again.
Windows annoyingly likes to put a thumbs.db file in my directories. so when I delete a folder on machine 1 and put it on disk, and then try to copy that to machine 2, it tells me it can't delete the folder on machine 2 as the folder it not empty.
Actually, it is empty, all it has is a thumbs.db file, which is useless.
Why doesn't VV force a delete in these circumstances? Why is it concerned to preserve a folder with a useless system file?
What I want is a mirror copy on one disk of what is on the other - and if that means deleting a folder with a useless system file in it, then so be it.
How can I get around this?

Hi, in the next release of ViceVersa PRO 2 (not a fixed date yet for this but should be there in January) there will be an option to delete excluded files from target. This option, combined with an exclude filter for thumbs.db should solve the issue you describe... thanks _________________ --
