VVLauncher Making Source Files "Read Only" Can't S

I have been using VV demo for about a month, v1.3 with VVLauncher and no problems.

I purchased VV today v2.0.0.8 and have VVLauncher running every 20 mins to back up my main machine to a laptop. Starting today.. after the purchase and upgrade, I am getting a wierd "File in Use" or "Read Only" error when I try to save an open file. Specifically an Illustrator file which is part of my VV profile.

What has changed in v2 or what am I missing?

PLEASE HELP!

Is the Illustrator file, which is part of the profile, part of the source folder or target? Are you synchronizing or backing up? Please post the log file including profile settings.

I'm using VV Pro 2 to mirror an Access database file (.mdb). Copying the file works fine even if the file is currently open in Access (don't know the exact type of file locking).

After the copying I get errors in Access when trying to write someting to the database. If I open the databse on another computer Access warns me that the database is "read only".

By closing the file on every computer that has it open the "read-only-state" seems to disappear and I can open the database again in Access and work normal with it.

OR MAYBE is it when I close the VV application this "read-only-state" disappears?? I have not tested these alternatives yet. I think I closed BOTH all Access sessions AND VV and then it worked again.

Any ideas?

Just clearing this out:
The file attribute "readonly" is NOT set on the Access database file described in my earlier post. The file seems to be open in some way that makes it "read only" in the Access application.

Can you post the ViceVersa log file including the part of the log file which contains the profile settings? You can setup a log for Viceversa in the profile settings.

Here it is (from the very backup that locked the database).

The file locked was \\Gisela\PBAdm\Napp\Napp2000.mdb

At the time appr 3-5 client computers were running applications that used the database.

All the errors reported in the log are OK.
