Sorry, I have no idea what is happening, but I think you must have a proxy setup in the options of your browser, which is
"intercepting" the 127.0.0.1 and localhost addresses.... _________________ --

From the menu select "Internet Options"
Then go to the "connections" tab
Click on "LAN settings"
Make sure that all the options on this dialog box are not activated.

Hi there,
I am having a similar problem with the vvengine. I can access the webpage from other machines on my network, but not from the local machine. This is a problem as I am unable to add profiles to the VVEngine unless I do it from the lcoal machine.
I have restarted the vvengine service a few times with no luck. The vvengine log file is:
12/19/2007 10:03:11 [2745266.488-PID:13908-13728] ServiceMain called

12/19/2007 10:10:23 [2745698.347-PID:12524-13076] Done.
Any help with this would be very much appreciated. |

Basically in the VVEngine settings I had allowed all network IP address, but had forgot to had the local address, so basically the software was bahaving as I had instructed it to.
For any one with the same problem don't forget to allow the local machine IP address, i.e.
"To allow the local computer to connect to VVEngine and the IP 192.168.1.1:
Allowed IPs = 127.0.0.1|192.168.1.1"
