When syncing two shared directories, one on an xp/pro box and the other on a win98se, I keep getting an "unspecified error". When I use xcopy to go either direction all is ok. Anyone got a clue? This is on version 2.0. I have admin priv.s on both machines...Cheers!...Steve~

I reinstalled v1.3 and everything is all ok. Nothing else was changed on the two boxes. So the problem is in v2.0beta.

Thanks, did you try the latest VV PRO 2 build 2008? Could you show the profile settings you are using?

OK thanks! Smile If the problem still persists - I would like to send you a special debug version of ViceVersa to catch this 'unspecified error'

I have the same problem posted by Steve in ver 2.0. The old ver 1.3 works just fine. I have same error output in log file posted by Steve to this message thread on Sept 3. Curious if he found a solution.

Me Too

Just downloaded the trial version, and am getting the same problem. I will be needing a 5 license version if it works... (carrot)

Going from Win2000 (source) to Win 98 (target)

Only copies the new files to the target. Will not copy new files to source, will not overwrite in either direction.

Just tried it in a completely different machine pair.

WinXP - WinME

Same exact symptom. Will copy new file to target, but nothing else.

We are preparing a special version of ViceVersa to debug this issue (which we cannot reproduce on our machines). If you want to receive this special version please send e-mail to support@tgrmn.com
