I've been evaluating VIceVersa for a few days and all has been working fine.
Then this morning I ran a VV backup from the VV Lanucher as usual, but during the backup my OS (Vista) crashed. After I rebooted I tried the backup again. The backup fails and I now get the following error each time I run the backup:

[ERROR] Invalid tracking database "C:\ProgramData\ViceVersa PRO 2\vvdb1.tdb". Database signature incorrect. Aborting comparison.

When I check, I find that the path C:\ProgramData does not exist. Maybe it existed before the crash, I don't know.

How do I get VV to forget about this tracking database that isn't there anymore and just create a new one and start from there?

I've tried creating a new profile and using that. The backup still fails with the same error.

Also, this makes me wonder about how robust VV is. If a crash during a backup is going to make VV unable to recover previously backed up files, then it doesn't seem that reliable to me. What happened to VV's "pull-the-plug" bullet proofing?

Hi

Are you sure that the folder C:\ProgramData\ is no longer there?

This is a system folder where Vista keeps all its applications' data...

To recover for the crash you will need to reset the tracking database manually, from profile settings->execution.

thanks!
