I have been using VVpro on trial basis. I like it very much. But it seems that there is a maximum number of 9 multiple source target pairs when using VVLauncher. The tenth pair results in an error msg from VVLauncher, "Can not monitor folder: \\Businesslaptop\ppl (E:\My Documents\ViceVersa PRO 2\AllFolders.fsf)". This folder is clearly enabled for file sharing in XPSP2. The VVpro main program does not seem to have this max limitation on pairs.

Is this correct? If so, can the limitation be increased or removed?

Hello

The limitiation on the number of source/target pairs should be the same for ViceVersa and VVLauncher... can VVLauncher monitor other folders on the e:\ drive?

Another possibility is to setup multiple profiles using VVEngine:

thanks!

Hello,

Thank you for your response, it looks to me like VVlauncher can access the E: drive OK. See the following excerpt from the VVlauncher log. This log entry was created during a VVlauncher execution before the number of pairs was increased to ten.

10/10/2007 08:27:36 [4292568.659-PID:2044] * Enabled * Run every 5 minutes if file changes are detected. (E:\My Documents\ViceVersa PRO 2\AllFolders.fsf)
10/10/2007 08:32:17 [4292849.534-PID:2044] Profile running.
10/10/2007 08:32:36 [4292868.784-PID:2044] Profile finished. Result "Completed successfully.". Exit Code: 0.

Thank you.

Were you monitoring the E: drive for changes before you increased the number of source/target pairs? thanks

I am not sure I understand your question. My profile was stored under E:\MyDocuments\ViceVersa. I had two pairs with sources in the E: drive. The other six pairs has sources in the C: drive. VVlauncher seemed to work fine this way as long as the total number of pairs was less than ten. I then added two more pairs with sources in the C: drive which brought the number of pairs to ten. At this point the VVlauncher gives error message.

It appears to me that the problem is not with the E: drive. I tested this by moving the profile location to C:\ViceVersa and removing the pairs with sources in the E: drive and replacing them with pairs with sources in the C: drive. So the VVlauncher should not be looking for any information on the E: drive. The result was the same. Here is the VVlauncher log entries logging the failure.

10/12/2007 06:32:24 [20139.098-PID:2224] Saving settings.
10/12/2007 06:32:35 [20149.848-PID:2224] Loading settings.
10/12/2007 06:32:35 [20149.988-PID:2224] * Enabled * Run every 5 minutes if file changes are detected. (C:\ViceVersa\allfolders.fsf)
10/12/2007 06:32:37 [20151.894-PID:2224] * Error * Can not monitor folder: \\Businesslaptop\spice8 (C:\ViceVersa\allfolders.fsf)

Thank you
