I have:
Two PCs each with their own set of user files (Documents, Music, Pictures, Videos & PST File). I also have an external NAS Drive.
I access files and make change and delete files from either PC.
I'd like VV to ensure that both PCs (and the NAS Drive) have exactly synched/mirrored user files that reflect the latest changes regardlesss of which PC was used to make them.
Can VV do this and if so how?
Regards,

Sync both PCs vs. the NAS
Install ViceVersa on both PCs (requires a single license to use on 2 computers if both computers are used by you only) and define a profile to sync vs. the NAS
When you run the profile on each PC it will sync vs the NAS.
Note that if a file is changed on both PCs in between syncs the file will be marked as conflict and you manually need to decide which one to keep.

Thanks for the quick reply. I've not looked at the software yet. Is it easy to set up a profile and are you suggesting that I copy the profile from PC1 to PC2 to create exactly the same profile on both PCs? |

It is very easy to setup a profile, just define source (laptop) and target (NAS) folders and select synchronization as execution method. Save the settings to a file and you are done. It can be done on both PCs.
VV PRO is fully featured and probably will serve you better!

If I am synching between two machines, one xp, one vista how do I exclude desktop.ini files, vista gets a bit twitchy (user folders) if these are substituted?
If I have e.g. iTunes on both machines and the iTunes sub-folder in the Music folders become synch. Does that mean the Itunes app on one machine will recognise its library and the other wont? (Same q for WMP11)

Add an exclude file filters (profile settings > file filters) and exclude desktop.ini

mmm, not sure, I do not know ITunes that well... i would say the two library will become equal but I am not sure.
