We are using Vice Versa Pro v2009 to perform two backup tasks. Server A (win2k3server) is where Vice Versa is installed. VVPro backs up Server A data to an external hard drive on Server A and also backs up Server B (win2Kserver) to the same external hard drive. An account named Task with a password is used to run the VVPro backup profile as scheduled task.

A session is created on Server B when "Task" backs up the data from Server B. The problem is that the session is not terminated. Therefore, as the scheduled task is run daily, a new session is created daily on Server B. Naturally this causes a log in problem eventually unless the sessions are terminated manually. No such problem occurs on Server A.

Note that the backup task ends with errors. Also note that this problem surfaced after a Microsoft update a few months ago... which may be entirely coincidental.

I just ran a compare which wiped out the profile log with the errors. I can repost tomorrow if needed. I believe they were along the lines that newer files existed on the target - modify the profile to fix this ... which I did..

Thanks in advance.

Hello
Please try upgrading to the latest ViceVersa PRO 2 build 2014 (it is free).
There was an issue on Win2k with tasks not closing that should be fixed now. thanks!
