I recently set up a limited account in XP and found that VV will not write the tracking database and log files in the default All Users location. If I change the location to an area within the limited user's profile--My Documents currently--it works fine. It doesn't seem like this should be necessary, it it? |

Could the problem I'm having have to do with the User group permissions on the default location? They do not allow Modify, only Read+Execute. |

Hi, I thought that the "All Users" folder allows everybody to write to it, but now I see also on my system that limited users are only allowed to read in that folder so that would be an issue for the log and the tracking database: the default location needs to be changed. thanks _________________ --

But after thinking about it, it makes sense that All Users would only allow read+execute. You'll probably need to use %userprofile% to establish settings for each account. |
