How can I set the program, so that it compares every file from two drives to another drive, and copies every file from both source drives to the target.
All files that are not on the source, need to be deleted from the target, but not the backwords.
I only can select one source.

Create 2 profiles with ViceVersa PRO.
The first one with DriveA->DriveC\FolderA
The second one with DriveB->DriveC\FolderB
Choose 'Replication (Update)' as execution method for both profiles.

In this case, however, if a file is on the source, but not on the target, it will not be deleted from the target, correct?
I'm looking to accomplish the following:
source\folder1 --> target
source\folder2 --> target
(using the same folder in both targets)
I have been trying the Update (and Prune) method which appears to be close, but it deletes all the files from the target as it compares it to the first source. What I would like to have, is a target that consists ONLY of all the files from each source, and remove files if not present in either source. |

This is not possible with ViceVersa. It is not possible to remove files if not present in either source. Are you looking to do this in order to save disk space? _________________ --

I'm trying to do this in order to help with distribution. I have media files from many sources that I would like to consolidate into a single directory, without needing seperate directories depending on the source.
The update function has been close enough. When I need to redistribute the media files, I simply delete the target directory by hand (or using a custom script that VV runs before updating), then update. It would be great if I could get rid of my custom script and let VV do the work, so that I wouldn't have to copy all the files every time. |
