I just changed a profile to compress files before sending. When it did the comparison, it got to an Excel 2007 file, which ends in .xlsx. Microsoft now compresses these with GZIP internally. ViceVersa stops and says the file extension for GZIP file filename.xls is wrong and needs to be .gz. _________________ _______

Once you enable compression for a folder, VV expects all files in that folder to be compressed. You will need to start with an empty target and let Viceversa compress the files. Compression means that you want the files in a folder to be kept compressed. thanks _________________ --

Thanks. I was hoping it would just compress newly changed files going forward. I've cleared the target folder and have started over. It works fine now. _________________ _______
